HOPE HOUSE GUTHRIE

Choose Today to be Different and Make a Difference

Hope House Guthrie is a non-profit facility that provides shelter for those in our community who are homeless, food for those who are hungry, clothing for those in need, and so much more!

We serve the most needful in our community; we feed the hungry, the homeless, the hurt, and the neglected.  We advocate for each person who comes through our door.

Some who seek shelter at Hope House are experiencing a temporary financial situation or other similar crises and just need a short-term solution until their circumstances improve. Others have been homeless for years and are trapped in a generational cycle of poverty. Still, others are in recovery from addictions that have ruled their lives and robbed them of the ability to move forward. Most face a combination of issues.

The dedicated volunteers at Hope House Guthrie help connect people with resources, lead addiction recovery programs (the only official NA site in Logan County), provide help with job placement, and assist with transportation to and from appointments. This is a place of hope...whether you need it or want to share it.

SERVING HOPE/MOVING FORWARD

This facility comes with a fully equipped commercial kitchen; up to 35 furnished client/guest rooms with shared full baths; furnished offices and various common areas and meeting rooms.

Along with the transitional housing, we offer associated services; addiction recovery support, general counseling, budgeting, Bible study, employment transition, etc.

We currently offer two direct fundraising efforts and would prayerfully request your support.

We have launched the 300 Club and currently have more than 20 members. Members of the 300 Club agree to donate at least $10 a month to help sustain our mission.

We have also initiated our Adopt-a-Room program as suggested by one of our founding supporters. For a minimum donation of $40.00 a month, you are sponsoring a safe place for a person to stay while moving forward on their life-transforming journey.

As we grow, our financial needs will also grow and we trust that with the continued support of our friends and community, those needs will be met.

        Things you should know....

1. We are volunteer-operated under the direction of our visionary board of directors who oversee daily operations through on-site management under committee guidance.

2. Our donors and their contributed amounts will not be shared without their permission.

3. We are serving hot lunches Monday thru Friday. We anticipate that the number being served will increase due to the ongoing financial hardships caused by current events.

Finally, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and your contributions are tax-deductible.

OUR HISTORY & VISION

We serve the most needful in our community; the hungry, the homeless, and the neglected.  We advocate for each person that comes to our door at Hope House Guthrie

Hope House Guthrie was founded in 2020 with the idea of feeding the hungry through an operation known as Neighborhood Hope Dealers - The mission and scope have obviously grown at an amazingly exponential rate and to date have had countless lives seek out and find life-changing assistance. Some need food or shelter...others, more, and we can have sometimes as many as 60+ men, women, and children residing at any given time participating in our “Life Transformation Program”.

The Hope House is under the authority of and operated by the NHD Board of Directors:

Chairman/ CEO: Sue DuCharme – Director, Neighborhood Solutions

Vice Chair: John Secondi – Corporate leadership with telecom and charitable organizations

Secretary:  Rachel Masterson-Chalk – Renovate Church

Board Member: Jim Case

Board Member: Dena Porter

Board Member: Michael Gellenbeck

Board Member: Codi Canning – Logan County Community Services

Board Member: Mayor (City of Guthrie)  - Steve Gentling

Board Member: Sharyl Padgett

Board Member: Frankie Garcia-Leon

and has many eager to assist such as private benefactors, volunteer staff from many walks of life, OSU-OKC Nurses, several local churches  ... as well as perhaps YOU!

We wholeheartedly commit to the work we do with passion and dedication to the Logan County community and invite others to take part. On top of this, we challenge ourselves to think creatively, applying an innovative approach to all that we do.

This mission drives the continued success of Hope House Guthrie
